Where to buy Ibérico ham in the Netherlands (2026 guide)

Supermarket, online specialist, butcher or straight from Spain: an honest overview of where to buy Ibérico ham in the Netherlands, and what to look for.

By Ibéricos Anjoreta · Updated on

Ibérico ham is increasingly easy to find in the Netherlands, especially if you know where to look. Whether you are an expat missing proper jamón or want to treat your guests, this guide helps you choose.

We are one of the options ourselves: Ibéricos Anjoreta, the Dutch web shop of our family shop in Málaga. We have tried to be fair about the alternatives. Prices and terms were checked on 19 October 2026 and may change.

Short answer

  • Quick and cheap: the supermarket (Albert Heijn, Jumbo, Lidl). Pre-packed, machine-sliced.
  • Best quality and choice: an online specialist selling hand-carved bellota and whole legs.
  • Chilled and fast, with other meat: an online butcher.
  • Top Spanish brands: Spanish web shops that deliver to the Netherlands.

What to look for

Whichever shop you choose, these four things decide what you get:

  1. The full name and label colour. Bellota (black or red), cebo de campo (green) or cebo (white). See the four label colours.
  2. Hand-carved or machine-sliced. Hand-carved costs more and is often rated higher by connoisseurs.
  3. Price per kilo. Never compare per pack. As a guide: serrano approx. €40/kg, ibérico de cebo de campo approx. €100–120/kg, hand-carved bellota approx. €200–325/kg.
  4. Delivery and cooling. Check delivery time, cost and whether it ships chilled. Vacuum-packed sliced ham usually travels fine by regular post, but follow the label.

What makes Anjoreta different?

We are not an importer or reseller but a family shop. Since 2017 we have sold ham, cheese and wine at Ibéricos Añoreta in Rincón de la Victoria (Málaga). What we offer in the Netherlands we also sell at our own counter. We slice the ham ourselves and state each ham’s official label colour.

Our products are not yet available to consumers; leave your email on a product and we will let you know. For companies we already make Spanish Christmas hampers this year.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I buy good Ibérico ham in the Netherlands?

From online specialists such as Ibericofino, Spaanseham.nl or Ibericojamon.nl, from online butchers such as The Meat Lovers, from Spanish web shops that deliver to the Netherlands, or pre-packed at the supermarket. Above all, check the label: bellota, cebo de campo or cebo, and the label colour.

Can you buy Ibérico ham at Dutch supermarkets?

Yes. Albert Heijn, Jumbo and Lidl sell pre-packed Ibérico and serrano ham, usually machine-sliced and often cebo or cebo de campo. For hand-carved bellota or a whole leg, go to a specialist.

How much does Ibérico ham cost in the Netherlands?

Supermarket serrano costs around €40 per kilo. Sliced ibérico de cebo de campo is around €100 to €120 per kilo and hand-carved bellota between €200 and €325 per kilo.
